Courtney sings with enthusiastic children in Poland

Hi Everyone,

We are having a gorgeous fall here in the Pacific Northwest. The gray and rainy days have not taken over yet. The skies are blue, the sun is shining, the leaves are brilliant red and gold, the air is clean and crisp and I am in heaven. I love it. I have taken off a lot of time to recover from knee surgery but am beginning to put my tours together. Please keep checking back to see if I will be somewhere near you. Many of my shows are in schools but there will be some public performances. So stay tuned. If you would like to bring me to your area to perform please email me.

I have two favorite authors for children: Mo Willems - www.mowillems.com and Kate Di Camillo - www.katedicamillo.com. Mo has some great picture books for young children. My faves are: Leonardo The Terrible Monster and any of the Elephant and Piggie Series. Kate DiCamillo does picture books chapter books. She wrote " For the Love of Winn Dixie which was made into a crummy movie. This is a shame because it is a dear and delightful book. The other I have read that I love love loved was " The Miraculous Journey of Edward Toulane". Kate is a wonderful children's' book writer who writes elegantly and simply for children but with all the depth and maturity of literature for adults. She is marvelous.
